Blog: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It's already December, the year has flown by! I always find this month a bit gloomy. It rains a lot, sometimes it snows, there are few hours of sunshine and it gets dark early. What I'm really looking forward to is changing from regular lights to lots of cozy little warm Christmas lights!
Traditionally I start Christmas preparations on the first weekend of Advent. This year that was on December 3. I drove with a friend and his car to a nearby Christmas tree sales point. We walked around among the beautiful Christmas trees and picked out a suitable size for our home. The smell of fresh Christmas trees is the best run-up to Christmas if you ask me! After we had both chosen a tree, it was time for a typical Dutch snack: oliebollen (deep fried doughnut balls)! After we had some fresh fried ones, we drove home again.
A good time to exchange the boots for pumps! With Christmas music in the background, I went looking for the Christmas stuff: lights, baubles, the Christmas star and candles. When expanding the Christmas lights I came up with the idea to take some beautiful photos with my Louboutin So Kates, which can be admired below this blog. After I finished taking photos, I hung the lights in the tree, really enjoyed it! This year I chose a combination of white and silver Christmas baubles. The silver Christmas baubles are very special, they belonged to my mother's grandmother and were always in the family!
Dear readers, I consider myself lucky and I wish that for everyone. The smell of the tree, the warm lights and my favorite Christmas music from my Spotify list make my day complete! Who knows what other beautiful things will be under the Christmas tree this year, last Christmas it was a fantastic pair of Louboutin Hot Chick 130 heels.
